It's weird when you first find out. You know, when you first find out that pretty much everything you were told is a lie.
Well, I guess some things are true… I think… I don't know.
If I was fooled before, can't I just be fooled again? What if I'm fooled right now, and I was right before? What if I've never been right?
What if no one is actually controlling this ship? What if no one really knows what's going on?
That would actually kinda make better sense than this. Or maybe not.

Something's missing….
The voices seem quiet for right now. They're just barely there like the sound of the breeze in a desolate desert canyon. Can you still hear them? Nah, me neither. Maybe they won't come back.
The stars above make me think it's all a dream. It's a massive expanse that I can't wrap my mind around. Why? That's the question. That's the elephant in the room. Would knowing make anything different? Knowing might just create a whole new set of problems.

I get puzzled sometimes. I still see people angry that someone would wear a face mask. I thought this was the land of the free, the land to work until the day you die and pay taxes and if you don't you get sent to prison to be a literal slave for the state. They don't care about that though. They're more worried about masks. They've bought into a culture war that's only purpose is to divert attention from the real issues. Didn't people used to mind their own business or was that a dream I had?

Shuffle the deck. You see the cards filter through your hands. You’re not too good at shuffling though so you’re not really mixing them around too much. It doesn’t matter though. You’re moving them around enough, enough to matter.
Every time you shuffle, a deck of cards that has never existed before comes into existence. The ripples of probability echo in waves around every movement. With every slide of the card, a universe is created. It’s a universe where that particular hand exists. As soon as you shuffle it again, you create another, and another and yet another.
Somewhere there’s a database logging it all. Someone’s probably wasting great computation power keeping track of the state of those cards. Like everything else, somewhere this moment is probably being logged for posterity.
By who? I’m not the one to answer….
